A WOKINGHAM day centre for older people in the borough was visited by Sir John Redwood last week.
The MP for Wokingham looked in on the WADE Day Centre following completion of the organisation’s newly refurbished lounge.
Work to restore a wing of the building became necessary after the centre suffered a major water leak last year.
The charity held an open day last week to celebrate their new quiet lounge for members to enjoy.
Sir John complimented staff and trustees on their hard work to repair the building, and spent time chatting with members, assisting them with their flower arranging activity.
Visitors to the day centre can enjoy home cooked lunches, activities, services, and a friendly environment in which to socialise.
The day centre is open from Monday to Friday, from 9am until 4pm.
Annual membership costs £20, and a two course home cooked meal costs £7.50.
