A GROUP that brings together Wokingham’s charities, businesses and local government will look at how to approach challenges at its next meeting.
Wokingham Positive Difference meets monthly to hear from visiting speakers, to network and to share the latest community news.
Its next event will focus on speed coaching.
It will be an ideal opportunity for anyone working through a challenge, facing a difficult decision, or feeling stuck on something important, say the organisers.
It will offer a slightly different kind of morning, blending the group’s usual format with an opportunity to also experience professional coaching first-hand, and see what it can really achieve.
Coaching can be a powerful way to break through stuck thinking, explore options, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence say organisers.
So, as part of the morning’s networking, there is an option to experience coaching in a practical, positive setting.
A limited number of 20-minute, one-to-one – fully confidential – coaching sessions with a fully qualified, experienced coach will be available during the event.
These will be designed to help people think more clearly about a real issue—whether that is to do with leadership, strategy, people challenges, or personal professional development.
Early booking for the coaching sessions is recommended, and charities booking a speed coaching session will also have the opportunity to access six follow-on coaching sessions on a pro bono basis.

Wokingham Positive Difference meetings take place at Wokingham Town Hall.
They include buffet breakfast of bacon rolls, pastries, and fresh fruit, and offer news updates from the WPD team, local businesses, government, and community groups, as well as space to network.
The next meeting is at the Town Hall, on Friday, May 15, from 8am until 10am.
Tickets cost £25, or for a standard ticket with added coaching session the cost is £30.
