A man has been jailed after he pleaded guilty to assaulting his former partner in Bracknell.
Oliver Neal, 25, of Sandy Road, Addlestone, Surrey, has been jailed for four years after he pleaded guilty to one count of section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent and one count of battery.
On October 4th 2024, Neal assaulted his partner, a woman in her twenties.
Neal and the victim were in a car when he struck her multiple times in the face, causing a black eye and bruising to her face.
In early December 2024, the victim ended the relationship with Neal.
Neal then broke into a property in Bracknell on December 8th 2024 where she was staying and seriously assaulted her.
She suffered a broken nose, two fractures to her eye socket, black eyes, a hemorrhage injury to her right eye and other wounds to her face.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Anuk Sirisena said: “This conviction is a testament to the bravery and tenacity of the victim who spoke up in the face of prolonged abuse that left her with serious physical and mental injuries.
“The victim’s tremendous courage was instrumental in securing this conviction against Oliver Neal, who is a danger to women.
“Thames Valley Police will always listen to the victims of domestic abuse and investigate thoroughly.

Neal was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Tuesday, July 22nd.
