More details have been revealed about Wokingham’s new McDonald’s restaurant.
Work has begun this week on the former Carpetright unit at Bridge Retail Park on Finchampstead Road.
As exclusively revealed by Wokingham Today, approval was given by Wokingham borough council for the unit in May 2024.
It will feature a dine-in and takeaway operation, but not a drive-thru.
The new restaurant is now set to open later this year.
A spokesperson for McDonald’s told Wokingham Today: “We are excited about the opportunity to open a restaurant in Wokingham in the second half of 2025.
“The restaurant will bring significant investment to the local area, and deliver up to 120 full and part-time jobs.”
