Newbury Building Society, which has a branch in Wokingham, has been shortlisted in two categories in this year’s British Bank Awards.
Newbury Building Society is up for Best Mortgage Provider and Best Savings Provider after 20,000 votes helped them beat more than 140 firms to be shortlisted.
They are up against big names including the Halifax, Nationwide, NatWest and Virgin Money.
In its fourth year, the British Bank Awards aim to find the best financial products, hottest innovation, and the most trusted financial brands, and is voted for by UK consumers.
Emma Simms, marketing and communications manager at Newbury Building Society, sai that the team were delighted to be shortlisted.
She said: “We take great pride in ensuring our products are of value to our members, and the overall customer service delivered is second-to-none. We would like to sincerely thank those who have taken the time to vote for us to get us to this point. We appreciate all the kind comments and support.

The awards are run by Smart Money People; the UK’s largest consumer review platform for focused financial services.
