Two musicians who were issued with parking enforcement notices in a town centre car park where signs had been vandalised have had their fines dropped.
In September, singer/songwriter Steve Morano from Caversham and fellow musician Lawrie Wright had parked in Rose Street car park in September whilst performing in the town.
At the time, no signs were present in the area although he subsequently noticed two poles that once contained a parking notice.
Both men were issued with penalty charge notices of £50. After appealing, both men have now had their charges revoked.
Taking to Instagram, a jubilant Steve said: “I’m all for abiding by the law, but in this case I know Wokingham Borough Council was in the wrong.”
He thanked Wokingham Today for highlighting his plight.
