Wokingham Borough Council has recently approved details for 343 homes located on land for the huge South Wokingham major development.
Progress is also being made on a project to replace a tower block with dozens of affordable flats in Bracknell.
Bay House is a defunct six-storey apartment block in the Bullbrook area that was vacated in 2022.
Planning progress is being made on a project to replace it with new affordable flats by the social housing association Abri.
That is just one of the plans that have been decided in the area recently.
In Sandhurst, the long-term use of Tri Lakes as a leisure destination has been established, and plans are moving forward for two huge developments south of Wokingham.

Wokingham Borough Council has recently approved details for 343 homes located on land for the huge South Wokingham major development.
The details approved relate to a construction environmental management plan which lays out how work will be conducted while the homes are built.
The 343 homes that the construction management plan relates to are part of a wider development of 1,434 homes by Keir Ventures and Miller Homes.
These details are for ‘Parcel 11’ of Phase 2b of the South Wokingham major development, located immediately south of the Eastern Gateway roundabout.
New look for defunct affordable flats (Bracknell app 25/00113/COND)
The project to create new social housing at the Bay House flats in Bay Road is moving ahead.
Plans to demolish the existing building containing 41 flats were approved in December 2024 after existing tenants were moved into temporary accommodation in 2022.
Once complete, the new-look Bay House will provide 23 one-bedroom and nine two-bedroom flats.
Abri has recently had a number of details approved, including hard and soft landscaping, finishes to the building and drainage maintenance.
Use of Tri Lakes determined (Bracknell app PA/2026/0563)
The use of Tri Lakes in Sandhurst as an adventure farm park and fishery has been established.
While a document by Laister Planning Ltd admits that no planning
permission has ever been granted for the use of land, an agent argued that Tri Lakes has been used in this way for more than 10 years.
Evidence cited includes an advert from 2001 promoting it as an animal park with pigs, goats, rabbits, sheep, donkeys and other animals.
The use of land has been confirmed by the council in a legal certificate issued on July 29.

Similarly, Miller Homes has won permission for how it will manage contamination on other parcels of land it is set to develop south of Wokingham.
This permission has been granted for parcels R7 and R13 of the major development, which are located east of Easthampstead Road.
Miller Homes had to submit this information before any construction can start.
