Police have seized two electric motorbikes after reports of dangerous riding in and around Sandhurst Memorial Park.
Officers said they received complaints about the bikes being ridden around the park and surrounding areas on Monday, August 17.
PC Crossman said he had seen the bikes being ridden at “ridiculous speeds”.
Thames Valley Police said there had also been reports of multiple people riding on the bikes, including occasions when four people were travelling on one motorbike without protective headgear.
Officers also said the riders had been giving young girls rides around the park.
Police said riders had previously spotted officers from a distance and left the area before they could be stopped.
Following enquiries, PC Crossman identified the owners of the two bikes as two brothers living in the Sandhurst area.
Officers then visited their address, where the two electric motorbikes were located.
The bikes were seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act.
Police said the bikes will not be returned to their owners.
Officers also reminded residents that while these types of electric motorbikes can legally be purchased, they cannot legally be ridden in public places.
They can be used on private land with the landowner’s permission.
Police said riding them on public roads or other public places is illegal.
