EVERSLEY recorded a huge 154-run win in division 2A as they sit at the summit of the table having won their opening three matches.

Jack Ford scored a huge 106 runs for Eversley while Tom Nichols fell just shy of claiming a century as he posted 98 runs as the hosts set Chesham 2s a tricky target of 282 to catch.

A fantastic bowling performance from Nicholas McGuane who posted figures of 4-27, ensured that Eversley continued their winning run in the league as they bowled the visitors all out for 128 after 26.1 overs.

Finchampstead 2s travelled to Royal Ascot in division 2B as they secured a fine yet very close 10 runwin. Finches batted first and totalled 218 with Matt Eldridge (45) and Andy

Lazenbury (42) posting strong scores.

Royal Ascot attacked the score but fine seam bowling from Connor Corlett just kept them below the run rate. At the end they were dismissed for 208 so a narrow victory. Connor Corlett returned 5-38 for Finches.

Despite a strong innings from Matt Dalrymple (53), Henely 2s fell well short of the target set by Hurst as the excellent bowling of Phil Higgs (4-28) and Nick Reynolds (4-42) ensured that Hurst took the victory.

In Division 3A, Binfield continued their winning streak at the start of the league campaign to ensure their place at the top of the table.

Wynand Lamprecht (57) top scored for Binfield as they posted a score of 205 for Boyne Hill 2s to chase.

Finchampstead 3s in division 3A hosted Falkland Seconds in what turned out to be a fine match. Falkland were 171-8 at closure with spinner Matt Harper taking 3-25.

The innings started with trouble for the Finches early batters as they were reduced to 4 wickets for 6 runs and worse followed as at 52 six were down.

Finch recovered valiantly as a fine 100 run partnership to bring the Finches in sight of the win. Sean Woodward fell at 152 for his fine 71. Finches were remarkably home for the win at 172-8 with Sam Taylor 43 not out.

Wokingham 2s stormed to a 133-run win in Division 3A as Ben Green boasted a huge 154 runs for the hosts.

Wokingham set Farnham Royal a huge total of 338 from 45 overs thanks to several strong totals as well as Green’s massive century and a half.

Farnham Royal fought well to try and get near the target as Eshwar Dutta posted 82, but eventually they would fall well short as John McDonald (3-15) helped Wokingham cruise to an easy victory.

A high scoring match in Division 4A saw Sonning take home the victory against Bagshot 2s.

Sonning posted a big first innings total of 300 from 45 overs as Dean scored a mammoth score of 121.

With a big total to chase, Bagshot 2s battled as Davis top scored and remained not out on 84, but a stunning bowling performance from Crofts (5-23) ensured that the hosts secured victory.

Also in Division 4A, Wargrave 2s strove to an eight wicket win against Bracknell.

Bracknell posted a respectable total of 210 as Chris White top scored with 45 runs and remained not out, however the strong bowling performance of Arul Appavoo (3-22) kept the total down.

Also in Division 4A, Wokingam 3s fell to defeat as White Waltham picked up a five wicket triumph.

Wokingham posted a first innings total of 188 for White Waltham to catch as David Pelczer top scored for the hosts with 46 runs.

Binfield 2s recorded a five wicket victory against Aldershot 2s in Division 6A.

They reached the 124 target set by Aldershot in just 25.4 overs as Paul Edgington (35*) top scored for the visitors.

Meanwhile in the same division, Eversley 2 were victorious against Slough 4s. Eversley posted a very good total of 289 as Byron Hickman performed superbly with the bat to knock 167 runs and remained not out.

It took Eversley 37.1 overs before they sealed the match by a 188-run margin as they bowled Slough all out for 101 runs.

Hurst 2s were defeated by Purley-on-Thames 2s in Division 6B. Purley set a big total of 284 for Hurst to try and catch as Priestley (102*) and Denton (118) both hit centuries for the hosts.

Denton also impressed in his bowling (3-10) as Purley bowled Hurst all out for 178 after 39.3 runs to seal a 106-run win.

Elsewhere in division 6B Finchampstead 4s travelled to Theale & Tilehurst 2s and were beaten while Sonning 2s successfully hosted Reading 3s and recorded a 58-run victory.
