Wokingham audiences can enjoy a feast of a capella sounds when the Thames Valley Chorus brings its autumn concert to the town.
The Woodley-based male voice choir will combine close harmony singing with a varied and entertaining repertoire.
It says its October concert, A Harvest of Harmony, promises to be an enjoyable evening showcasing the distinctive sound that can be created when voices come together in harmony – without any instrumental accompaniment.
The choir will be joined by dynamic female vocal group from Bristol, Black Sheep Harmony, who will bring their own award-winning style to the concert, making this a particularly special opportunity to hear both male and female a cappella groups performing on the same programme.
Thames Valley Chorus has been entertaining the borough since 1974.
The men who love to sing in four-part harmony, cover many styles of music, with songs from the shows, gospel, classics, and covers of singers like Billy Joel and Queen.
Black Sheep Harmony, an all-female chorus of more than forty voices has an eclectic musical range that spans Queen and ABBA to The Beatles and even Grieg.
The concert is open to everyone, whether already a fan of a cappella singing or simply looking for an enjoyable evening of live music in Wokingham.
It will take place at All Saints Church, Wokingham, on Saturday, October 3.
The music begins at 7.30pm, with tickets now on sale for £10.
