The unsung heroes of the borough were celebrated on Tuesday evening as Wokingham Today, in collaboration with Wokingham Borough Council and Wokingham Vision 2035, hosted the third edition of the annual Wokingham Community Awards.
Hosted at All Saints Church, attendees were treated to a performance by The Clasp Charity choir as they arrived as they enjoyed a selection of drinks provided by Tesco Wokingham and Den 42, while food was provided by Club India.
Awards host Graeme Hobbs, who runs local accountancy firm Hobbs Granger Roitt and is the founder of networking group Wokingham Positive Difference welcomed all attendees, which included local dignitaries: The Borough Mayor Cllr Carol Jewell, The High Sheriff of Berkshire Sean Taylor, The High Sheriff of Wokingham Lucy Zeal, Honorary Alderman Angus Ross, CEO from Wokingham Borough Council Susan Parsonage and councillors and officers from Wokingham Borough Council.
