2022 Candidates

Dr Laurence Chacksfield, Conservatives

A person wearing a pink shirt

Description automatically generated with medium confidence

When I meet residents on the doorstep, they tell me the same local things on their minds – getting places in great local schools, maintaining weekly bin collections and protecting our green spaces, such as Fox Hill.

I work as a local Doctor and I understand the frustration residents feel when they can’t access local medical services as many people end up coming to see me in A&E.

I want you to know that I am on your side. I know that we need to protect green spaces, offer excellent education, keep delivering high quality services, look after the most vulnerable in our community, reduce local congestion and invest in the future of our community

I’m aware that we are now facing a big squeeze on the cost of living – myself included. I know we need to provide excellent local services.
I will be your champion of Conservative values by ensuring your money is spent wisely and keeping your council tax as low as possible in the coming years.

I hope I’ll be able to meet you at some point on the doorstep, however if we can’t, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Alex Freeney, Labour

Hayley Kearey, Green

Sarah Kerr, Lib Dem

Sarah Kerr

I live on Evendons Lane with my husband Jim and 2 young sons. Before my boys were born I worked in the IT and charity sectors and now work as a freelance musician. I have 2 music degrees and am a classically trained pianist and conductor, working mainly in the choral world. I have been a Lib Dem councillor since 2019 and have helped many residents with a whole range of concerns. I am the Lib Dem spokesperson for tackling the climate emergency.
