A MUSIC group’s first performance of the year has an edible theme.
Woodley Concert Band (WBC)’s programme, A Feast of Music, is inspired by food and drink.
The concert includes spaghetti western themes, The Candyman from the Willy Wonka film, and classical music used in an iconic TV drink advert.
There will also be some pieces with a less obvious link to food and drink.
The band’s conductor, Claire Lawrence, says: “We have had such fun putting this programme together.
“It is surprising how much music is food-related, so we had lots to choose from.
“There’s a great variety of musical styles in our concert too, with everything from big band to classical, so it really is a musical feast to suit all tastes.”
The event is at The Bulmershe School theatre, Woodley, on Saturday, March 25.
Doors open at 7.30pm, with tickets on sale for £14, or £12 for over 65s, and £5 for under 16s.
Free tickets are available for audience members who have never been to a Woodley Concert Band concert before.
