THE names of two new glass recycling trucks will be decided by members of the public in a special vote which closes tomorrow.
Re3, which runs recycling facilities for Reading Borough, Bracknell Forest and Wokingham Borough councils, has been running a contest to name its two new glass recycling vehicles which will soon be pressed into action.
They will be used to collect glass bottles and jars from re3 ‘bring banks’ (bottle banks) located across the three regions.
A request for names led to hundreds of suggestions, but they have been whittled down to four, each puns on the theme of recycling.
On Facebook people are being asked to choose between Kate Binslet and Tyra Bring Banks, while on Twitter it is a race between Jar Jar Clinks and Michael Recycle.
The winning names will appear on the two re3 glass recycling vehicles and the winner will be invited along to inaugurate the vehicles’ maiden voyages. when they set off for the first time.
