FITNESS fanatics danced their way to raising more than £300 at a special charity Zumba class in Lower Earley last week.
More than 50 members of Loddon Valley Leisure Centre donned fluorescent clothing to shake, shimmy and salsa the evening away on Wednesday, September 27, raising money for The Brain Tumour Charity in the process.
Instructor Tracy Dance put the group through a one-hour session of the infectious Latin American beats and Wokingham Borough Mayor, Cllr Rob Stanton, joined in with the fun.
Wokingham Borough Mayor, Cllr Rob Stanton said: “Congratulations to everyone involved in organising the evening and it was fantastic to see so many people enjoying the exercise and having fun.”
The Zumba event raised £340, with the centre raising more than £850 in total through sponsored spinning classes and cake sales.
