AN UPCOMING concert in Shinfield is set to showcase the talents of a Reading-based choir.
The Riverate Chorus will be performing a tea-time recital at St Mary’s Church, Shinfield, and will be led by musical director Sarah Scotchmer.
Featuring around 100 singers, the group welcomes men and women of all ages and experience levels to sing a repertoire which includes everything from Mozart to Mercury.
The concert is part of the church’s Music at St Mary’s series of recitals, which gives local musicians a platform to perform and is held on the first Saturday of every month.
Entry is free, although there will be an opportunity to contribute to a retiring collection.
The concert starts at 4pm on Saturday, July 1, and tea will be served at the end.
There is street parking near the church, as well as wheelchair access.
