A LEADING Reading law firm has chosen the Cowshed and Berkshire Women’s Aid as its official charities.
Blandy & Blandy praised both organisations for the work they do adding the company was proud to support them over the next two years.
Rebecca Mole, fundraising manager at The Cowshed, welcomed the law firm’s Chairman and partner Nick Burrows and Director of Marketing and Business Development David Lamont on a tour of the charity’s new premises.
Blandy & Blandy recently provided legal advice in relation to the charity’s lease.said:
“We were delighted to show Nick and David around our wonderful new premises in Wokingham,” said Rebecca.
“Being supported by local businesses and organisations makes a huge difference to the work we are doing in the local community. We are excited to be partnering with such a well-known and respected firm”.
The Cowshed provides support to people of all backgrounds in a time of personal crisis. This includes offering good quality, cleaned, and ironed clothes and other essential items free of charge to those in need.
Nick Burrows added: “I want to thank Rebecca for an insightful tour of The Cowshed’s premises. It was humbling to see behind the scenes and the charity and its wonderful army of volunteers in action, as well as to learn more about the vital and important work being done. The Cowshed really is an incredible charity at the heart of our community here in Berkshire.”
