A BRACKNELL shopping centre is encouraged by the very positive response to an appeal that will brighten up Christmas for struggling families
The Lexicon is delighted to announce that 693 advent calendars have been donated to Bracknell Foodbank, an increase of 140% compared to last year.
Over the past six weeks the local community, retailers and restaurants within The Lexicon have been popping advent calendars into The Lexicon Giving Box in Princess Square.
In addition to the advent calendars The Lexicon has donated thirty family tickets to Bracknell Foodbank for Santa’s Grotto.

Sue Boor, head of marketing at The Lexicon, said: “I am thrilled that we can do a bit to brighten-up Christmas this year for so many local families.
“A huge thank you to everyone who donated – it will make a real difference to so many.”
Liz Fourie, Bracknell Foodbank interim manager said: “We never ask for treats as donations as we need to focus on essential items to support local families.
“So, we’re really looking forward to surprising hundreds of families this Christmas with an extra special treat.”
