Wokingham Town FC has launched a new community fundraising campaign with the aim of raising £5,000 to make improvements to its ground, and to provide new equipment for all its players.
The Sumas have teamed up with Utility Warehouse), the UK’s only genuine multi-service provider, to give local residents the chance to save money on their household bills while supporting grassroots football.
Every time a household switches to Utility Warehouse through Wokingham Town FC’s dedicated connector account, the club will receive an income at no extra cost to the customer.
This money will go directly towards the £10,000 target, helping to fund much-needed ground improvements and new training equipment for players.
Steve Williams, chairman of the club, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together.
“Not only can people save money on their bills, but every sign-up brings us closer to reaching our £10,000 target. That money will make a huge difference – from improving our facilities to ensuring our players have the right kit and equipment.”
The club is encouraging players, parents, supporters, and the wider Wokingham community to get involved by switching their bills and spreading the word.
A live fundraising tracker will show progress towards the £10,000 goal, with regular updates shared on the club’s website and social media.
You can support Wokingham Town FC by switching to UW using the club’s connector account. The process is quick and easy, and customers can choose to combine energy, broadband, mobile, and insurance into one simple monthly bill – often saving money compared to standard providers.
