Residents can join Wokingham in Need for a relaxed afternoon of great wine, sharing food and community spirit as we raise money for the Wokingham in Need charity supporting people and families in the community.
Hosted by Sue, Jacob and David, this informal tasting will guide you through four carefully selected wines, sharing the stories behind each bottle and what makes them so special.
Whether you’re a seasoned wine lover or simply enjoy discovering something new, this is an enjoyable and accessible afternoon for everyone.
Following the tasting, we’ll be holding a Charity Wine auction, where you’ll have the opportunity to bid on some exceptional bottles, with every penny raised going directly to Wokingham in Need.

The event is happening on Sunday, August 9, 2026, and tickets are priced at £30 per person
A spokesperson said: “At Chalk, we’re proud to be donating all of the wines, food and auction prizes, meaning 100% of every ticket sold and every pound raised during the auction will be donated directly to Wokingham in Need.
