A WOKINGHAM sports facility is helping youngsters across the borough grow up with all the essential items they need, thanks to its partnership with one of Wokingham’s leading children’s charities.
Ryeish Green Sports Hub, which is a Places for People centre, has teamed up with First Days by setting up a new donation bin in its reception where people can leave unwanted school uniform, PE kit and sportswear to be loved again.
The donation bin is accompanied by a comprehensive list of items which are accepted, which include toys, bathroom essentials, feeding equipment, bedding, safety equipment and pram items.
The sports centre took to its Facebook page to let people know about the addition, saying: “As part of our new partnership with First Days Children’s Charity, we have a brand new donation bin located in our reception area.
“Your donations will be sent to children from deprived families within the local area.”
