A pedestrian crossing looks set to be introduced on a busy road outside a Shinfield school.
At last week’s full council meeting, Cllr Caroline Smith asked for an update on the progress of the crossing outside Crosfields school.
She said: “A few of my Hillside residents use the various footpaths to access the Shinfield Road to get to Crosfield school.
She noted how a recent accident involving a cyclist and a bus had become part of the evidence base for the request.
In response, Cllr Stephen Conway said the council’s safety team had surveyed the location, and supported the installation of a crossing.
He said a feasibility report would be shared shortly.
