AN ADVERTISING hoarding has been approved for Crowthorne High Street, despite concerns it could cause a problem for drivers.
The digital display board is to be installed above the sign to the COATS charity shop after Bracknell Forest Council granted permission.
Objecting to the application, Crowthorne Parish Council asked for it to be refused “due to the sign being a distraction to motorists”.
However, planning officers awarded permission, on the condition that no advert should be displayed without the shop owner’s permission, and that it should not endanger road users or block traffic signs.
The application can be seen on Bracknell Forest Council’s planning website, searching for application 23/00614/A.
