FAMILIES with bikes that need fixing, suitcases with broken wheels, lamps left in the dark, and mowers that won’t move can get them mended.
A repair cafe in Spencers Wood is waiting to get to grips with all these, and laptops that won’t load, as well as tools that need sharpening.
The group says the more they can repair the less will go to landfill.
They accept all sorts of items, and have access to a 3D printer to help with replacement parts.
The group meets regularly on the third Sunday of each month.
There is no charge for fixing, but the group gratefully accepts donations which help with running costs, and enable the team to carry out children’s eco workshops.
The next event is at Lambs Lane Primary School, on Sunday, July 21.
Doors are open from 10am until 1pm.
