FIREFIGHTERS from Bracknell were called to a report of a baby trapped in a car in Easthampstead this morning.
A crew were called to the Easthampstead Community Centre in Rectory Lane where a mother had accidentally locked her young baby inside her car.
But when the firefighters arrived to free the child, they were able to access the car without the need for specialist equipment.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “The mother did absolutely the right thing in calling us, she panicked and thought she had locked the baby in the car in direct sunlight, but we were able to open the car right away.
“The baby was a bit hot and bothered but was happy enough when she got back to her mum and had a little drink.
“It is what we are here for and are happy to attend calls such as these.”
