THOSE looking to make an early start to their Christmas shopping headed to Arborfield this weekend for a craft and food market which served up some hidden gems.
Engage, Arborfield Green’s events committee, welcomed visitors to the village’s community centre on Saturday, to peruse stalls showcasing locally produced wares.
Mel’s Marvellous Crochet presented a range of blankets, bags, hats, scarves and gloves, while Fabric Fusion offered patchwork quilts and cards. Luxury French pancakes could be enjoyed at Crepe Away’s table, and the owners of Cherry Me sold air-dried fruits and vegan crisps.
The event, which launched in March, takes place on the second Saturday of each month, giving small businesses the opportunity to spotlight their goods and services.
November’s market will take place from noon-4pm on Saturday, November 11.
