Former Reading FC manager Ruben Selles has been appointed as the new boss of Championship side Sheffield United.
The Spaniard was sacked by Hull City last month despite keeping them in the Championship, but now takes over at the Blades.
Sheffield United sacked Chris Wilder after he failed to get them promoted, losing in the play-off final to Sunderland.
Selles, who joined Reading in 2022, had the Royals in the play-off places before he departed to join Hull in December 2024.
Selles was a popular figure during his time in Berkshire having guided the club through an extremely difficult and uncertain period under previous owner Dai Yongge.
He managed to avoid League One relegation in his first season in charge despite numerous off-field distractions and points deductions.
The Royals then made a push for the play-ff places last campaign, firstly under Selles and then under his replacement Noel Hunt, but missed out on the final day to Leyton Orient.
Despite being dismissed by Hull, the 42-year-old manager has shown great promise and now takes over at the Blades, who will be one of the favourites for a promotion push next season.
