A REPAIR cafe in Spencers Wood is encouraging people to give their dad a helping hand this month.
“Our next repair cafe is a week before father’s day so please help out your dad and bring something to fix,” said Billie Bachra, cafe organiser.
The repair cafe is a free service provided by volunteers to reduce landfill.
Volunteers meet once a month to fix household items and have a close to 80% success rate.
“We also run a structured apprenticeship programme to support our D of E volunteers, as we want to encourage them to be part of this great movement” added Billie.
The Repair Cafe at Lambs Lane Primary School Spencers Wood is open on Sunday June 14, from 10 am until 1pm.
