Lions ready to bring Santa around the streets of Woodley and Earley

HE’S MAKING a list and he’s checking it twice – and the Lions know it’ll be very nice.

Yes, Santa Claus is coming to town and once again he’s on his sleigh helping raise money for good causes and giving youngsters a pre-Christmas treat.

Members of Woodley and Earley Lions will be touring the streets of Woodley, Winnersh and Earley throughout December, between 6.15pm and 7.45pm nightly. And Santa will also be making appearances at supermarkets across the borough for children who want to share their secret wish lists and pop some money in his collection bucket.

For those who can’t wait, the sleigh will also be visiting the Crockhamwell Road shopping precinct on Sunday, December 2 for the Woodley Winter Extravaganza, where members of the public can sit on the sleigh and use it as a background for their festive photographs.

And the Lions will also be launching their Tree of Light at the Woodley Christmas Light Switch on this Saturday from 4.30pm.

People can make dedications to a dearly departed or living loved one for the tree, forms for this will be available from Woodley Library or the Oakwood Centre.
