A medley of Christmas music helped celebrate day five of Wokingham’s Living Advent Calendar.

Woodley-based a capella group The Barberettes were the surprise act on Saturday, December 5. They performed by The Grape Escape to the delight of a crowd of shoppers.

They sang popular festive tunes including Silent Night, Winter Wonderland and We Wish You A Merry Christmas. To finish, they sang a special arrangement of Kool and the Gang’s Celebrate.

The event is just one of a number taking place every day between now and Christmas Eve. A live performance will be held somewhere in Wokingham at 6.15pm or 4pm at weekends.

On Sunday, December 6, the venue will be Sanpa and the performance starts at 4pm.

You can check all the venues in the calendar by logging on to our interactive map.
