On Friday, December 4, live theatre came to Wokingham’s Living Advent Calendar.

BottleTop Theatre Community and the Salvation Army presented a new play at The Local Barber Shop off Broad Street.

The thought-provoking play was called Where I Lay My Head and explored issues relating to homelessness, refugees and the Christmas story.

If you missed it and want to see it, you’re in luck – a special slightly extended version will be performed at the Salvation Army hall in Sturges Road on Thursday, December 17 from 4.30pm. Afterwards there will be refreshments.  

The event is just one of a number taking place every day between now and Christmas Eve. A live performance will be held somewhere in Wokingham at 6.15pm or 4pm at weekends.

Saturday’s event was held by the Great Escape in Denmark Street and Sunday, December 6, the venue will be Sanpa.
