Another piece of land in Wokingham is set to come under the hammer in an online auction today (May 21).
The 0.17 acre area of woodland is located off Sandy Lane in Barkham, and is in the same location as other similar lots that have been auctioned in recent months.
Auction firm Barnard Marcus described the lot as “ .. a parcel of manageable woodland that could be utilised for various purposes or perhaps a retreat for camping or similar subject to any consents that may be required.
“The land is sold freehold on an unconditional basis, and purchasers are deemed to have relied solely on their own enquiries as to any permissions that may be required for intended use.”
The lot has a guide price of £5,000 plus fees.
The land is understood to be owned by the property development company responsible for building the nearby properties. It declined a request to comment.
Linda, a local resident, told Wokingham Today: “I’m curious to know why so many small parcels of land are coming to auction so often.”
