PRELOVED Print and First Days Children’s Charity are teaming up to hold a Wokingham fashion event that is good for the environment, and which will benefit youngsters in the borough.
They are calling all fashonistas who like a bargain to save the date for their first ever Preloved Print Sale.
“We’re thrilled to launch this inaugural Preloved Print Sale,” said Ellie Gosling, fundraising and events manager at First Days Children’s Charity.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to pick up one-of-a-kind pieces for your wardrobe, while embracing sustainable practices by giving pre-loved items a new lease of life and supporting First Days.”
Crowthorne-based Preloved Print boutique specialises in distinctive pieces from distinctive brands, with colourful prints and vibrant designs.
At the fashion event, people will be able to explore a carefully chosen selection (sizes 6 to 18) of pre-owned ladies wear, adding something new to their wardrobe while shopping sustainably.
Visitors will also be supporting First Days Children’s Charity, with 10% of each sale going to the charity.
First Days Children’s Charity empowers and supports families suffering financial hardship to change their lives, giving back choice and restoring dignity to families so that every child can have the same start in life.
Coaches and a specialist family support team work with parents to build confidence, promote positive changes, provide skills, and alleviate financial pressure through low cost and no cost essential items, including school uniforms, winter wear, beds and bedding.
In 2023 the charity helped 6,307 children, provided more than 16,000 items of school uniform and gave 678 households winter warm items including heated blankets, slow cookers and heated clothes driers.
The charity’s fundraising Preloved Print Sale will take place at The Elevate Centre, Seymour House, on Denmark Street, on Friday, September 27 from 10am until 1pm.
Coffee and cake will be available while people browse.
