A teenage boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a reported knife incident in Reading.
Thames Valley Police were called to Oxford Road, at the junction with Cranbury Road, at about 9am on Friday after reports that two men had been seen carrying knives.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.
A 21-year-old man, from Reading, was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon. He was taken to hospital with injuries which police said are not believed to be life-threatening.
Officers are appealing for witnesses as enquiries continue.
