From Birmingham and its Jewellery Quarter to Wokingham’s Bush Walk is quite a journey for Rococo Jewellery, another of the new sponsors announced for Wokingham Pride.
Rococo Jewellery began in a park, Marlow’s Higginson Park with goods and trinkets being sold from a table.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of Rococo’s branch in Wokingham, and owner Juliette Bluhm said: “At Rococo Jewellery, we believe that jewellery is a celebration of individuality, self-expression, and life’s special moments.
“Being a part of our customers’ journey, emotionally and supportively with our jewellery, gives me more joy than anything.
“That’s why we’re proud to support Pride Day in Wokingham.
“As a small independent business at the heart of the local community, we welcome everyone through our doors, and believe diversity makes our town stronger, kinder, and more vibrant.
“We’re delighted to celebrate Pride and stand with our LGBTQ+ friends, customers, and neighbours.”
Lesley Feinberg, business liaison and parade manager for Wokingham Pride said: “Local business sponsorship helps bring Wokingham Pride to life.
“Every logo, advert, story and social media collaboration is more than promotion, it is a visible statement of support for inclusion, belonging and community in Wokingham, while giving businesses a meaningful way to show their support for the community.”
Wokingham Pride is a joyful, free, and family-friendly event celebrating the local LGBTQ+ community on Saturday, July 11, featuring a parade from Wokingham town hall to Elms Field, followed by live entertainment, stalls, and a vibrant community after-party event at the Dukes Head.
