Dutch winger Roy Beerens has completed a deadline day move to Vitesse Arnhem for an undisclosed fee.
The 30-year-old was one of Jaap Stam’s first signings as Reading boss last summer and featured 63 times for the club, scoring nine goals.
But he has fallen out of favour in recent months, starting just two games since November, both in the FA Cup.
And Beerens, who has two senior caps for Holland, has now returned to his homeland to sign for Vitesse on a deal which runs until 2021.
