FINCHAMPSTEAD Baptist Church celebrated 15 years of faith and fun at the weekend.
Located in the Finchampstead Baptist Centre, the church invited local families to join them at a fun day to mark the community milestone on Saturday.
Inside the centre youngsters could enjoy a golf simulator, badminton, paddle sport pickleball, and bowls.
Outside, a range of inflatable slides, assault courses and bouncy castles provided further active fun.
Youngsters were able to put their skills to the test against a couple of tyrannosaurus rex goalies.
And food and refreshments were available from the FBC Centre cafe.
Holly brought her two young sons and their friend to the fun day.
She said: “There’s everything here, lots of great opportunities for children to get hyped up and sweaty, but also places for them to be able to chill out.
“Everyone’s here; people from the church, from youth events held at FBC, as well as lots of local families.
“FBC is well used in the area – it’s a fantastic community centre, but it’s also a church family here in the heart of Finchampstead.”
Also at the event were Gaynor White and Sarah, from the Barkham Hookers, busy crocheting decorations in preparation for their crafted Christmas tree later in the year.
Lead pastor of FBC Chris Simpkins was delighted with the community turnout.
“I really can’t believe it’s 15 years since the FBC centre and church opened its doors,” he said.
“It has gone so quickly.
“The Fun Day went really well – it was very busy, with loads of people having lots of fun.
“Children loved the inflatables, the golf simulator, crazy golf and all the other activities – there was a real buzz.
“We’re constantly looking for ways to reach, love, and connect with our community because we want to be there for them.
“So much has happened in 15 years.
“Now we’re at this milestone, excited about the next 15.
“We want to continue to be there for our community.”
Celebrations continued the following day with an all-age Sunday morning service at FBC, followed by a communal picnic lunch, with lots of birthday cake.
