Wargrave and Binfield stars top this week’s cricket honours board

WARGRAVE batsman Stephen Jeffrey posted the top score in the borough with a knock of 111 against Thatcham Town 4s.

Playing for Wargrave 3s, Jeffrey’s century helped his side to a three-wicket win.

Wargrave 2s’ Chris Lunn (97) placed in second while Emmbrook and Bearwood opener Andy Webb (95) rounded off the top three.

Binfield 2s’ Ian Goddard was the pick of the bowlers, posting figures of 6-25 in victory over Coleshill in the Chilterns League.

Wokingham’s Jarrett Bobb (6-48) and Abdul Khaliq of Woodley (6-50) completed the top 3.
