A Winnersh serviced office provider marked International Women’s Day recently by celebrating the women who make up the majority of its team and wider business community.
Arena Offices, which operates serviced office centres across Hampshire, Dorset, Berkshire and Surrey, has a workforce that is 87 per cent female, making the occasion particularly meaningful for the company.
To recognise the day, centre teams across Arena’s locations organised small treats and gestures for the women working in their buildings. The aim was to show appreciation for the many women who contribute to the vibrant communities within its workspaces.
These centre teams regularly organise events, gatherings and initiatives that bring clients together and help build connections between businesses working under the same roof.
International Women’s Day was first celebrated in 1911 and continues to be an important opportunity to reflect on the progress made in advancing gender equality while recognising the work still to be done.
Sharron Domanska, deputy group CEO of Arena Offices, said: “International Women’s Day is always a meaningful day for us as a business, particularly as women make up such a large part of the Arena team.
“But it’s also about recognising the women within our wider community – the entrepreneurs, professionals and leaders who work from our centres every day.
“We wanted to take the opportunity to celebrate them and do something small that would make them feel appreciated when they came into the office.”
