Wokingham Festival day two – who’s playing, what’s happening on Sunday, August 27

AFTER A brilliant first day, Wokingham Festival is gearing up for a busy Sunday. Who said it was a day of rest?

The weekend of food, music and beer is annual event takes place in Cantley Park, a short walk from Wokingham town centre.

Don’t forget if you park in the town centre, there are now charges for evenings, Sundays and bank holidays.

Gates for Wokingham Festival open at 11am daily. Today’s events finish at 10.30pm.

There are two stages at Wokingham Festival amd acts have been timed so there will be no clashes – you can enjoy one band and then the other.

Trademark Windows stage

The main stage is called the Trademark Windows stage.

Headlining will be Tankus Henge, and the day is hosted by Andy Rowe.

The line-up is:

Wokingham Music Club stage

The second stage is the Wokingham Music Club stage.

This starts at noon, and features a mixture of local artists.

The line-up is:

  • Noon Saxcelerate
  • 1pm Alpha Line
  • 2pm Like Ribbons
  • 3pm Tara Deane
  • 4.15pm Hello! Indigo
  • 5.30pm Who Ate All The Crayons
  • 7pm Solar Culture
  • 8.30pm Spacehopper
  • 9.30pm Silent disco

Food and drink at Wokingham Festival

The beer tent is organised by the team behind Twyford Beer Festival and will raise money for the male cancer charity Orchid.

The bar will feature a range of real ales, ciders and perries from breweries around the Wokingham area and beyond.

It is a great way to try something different and raise funds for a good cause at the same time.

The Tin & Glass cocktail company will be hosting a second bar, serving … well, cocktails.

Food comes from a range of stalls. Options include ice cream, burgers, Perusvian street food, wood-fired pizza, vegan street food, waffles, bubble tea and Persian cuisine.

Family activities

For children there will be entertainment from Circus Scene. They can try out a host of activities, enjoy hula hooping and play a selection of table top games.

Activities include:

11am Circus workshops throughout the day

2pm Hula hoop workshop

4.15pm Puzzles including Rubik’s cubes

5.30pm Bubble galore finale

How much does it cost to get in?

There is an entry fee for Wokingham Festival. Advance tickets are no longer available on the website, so it is pay at the gate.

Day tickets are £20, £5 for under 18s, and free for under eights.

A weekend ticket is £50, £12.50 for under 18s, and free for under eights.
