PARENTS across the Borough are anxiously awaiting news as to where their child will attend primary school in September, and many will be receiving the good news that they have been placed in their first choice school.
More than 2,000 applications for a place at a Wokingham primary school were received before the deadline, an increase of 70 on last year, and school places have been offered to all of them.
Around 85 per cent of applicants have received their first choice placement, with 96 per cent being allocated into on of their four preferred schools.
Those who have not received their first choice – some 303 children – will now have the right to appeal, along with those living outside of the borough who did not receive their preferred Wokingham school.
Did your child receive their preferred choice of school, or will you be appealing your allocation?
