Burton Albion manager Mark Robinson believes his side were ‘very, very dominant’ ion the second-half despite their defeat to Reading on Tuesday night.
It was Ruben Selles’ side who claimed all three points with a double from Chem Campbell and a header from Sam Smith which meant that the Brewers’ late goal only proved to be a consolation.
Despite that, the Burton boss believes his side were the better of the teams in the second-half.
He said:” If anyone was here at the end of the game nobody would have thought that they had won the game 3-1.
“They were doing a lap of honour to about 150 people because in the second-half we were very, very dominant.
“We got caught a couple of times being open, but that is what we want this team to look like – aggressive, a nasty streak about us and we’ve got to be effective and play all sorts of football.
He continued: “We need a bit of nastiness because I’m learning that certain things aren’t going to fall in our favour.
“I realise there is a pattern in certain things that go on with decisions.
“Maybe it’s because we’re little old Burton and I didn’t have a stellar football career that maybe we have to swallow it and get a little bit nasty.”
The Royals are on the road this weekend when they face Steve Evans’ Rotherham side.
Rotherham have picked up 10 points in their opening 10 games which puts them in 17th, while Reading are three points ahead of that in 12th.
