RESIDENTS having difficulties accessing the online world can get help from volunteer experts at sessions throughout the borough.
An increasing number of people are fully or partially digitally excluded, and need help to understand their phone, laptop or tablet.
They may have limited or no access to the internet, or to the devices needed to carry out many tasks, and they may have difficulty communicating in today’s online world.
This could include managing a Universal Credit claim, or applying for discounts for council Help with all of these and more is available, and for those who need them, recycled devices can be obtained via Wokingham charities Share, and First Days Children’s Charity.
Volunteers will guide people through their device and how to access the online world, at:
Finchampstead Library on the second Friday of the month, from 10am to 11.30am

People can learn how to use the NHS App, order repeat prescriptions, use NHS 111 online, find NHS services, view their GP health record, book appointments, and get reminders and messages.
