This week’s planning round-up features an update on a new Sainsbury’s supermarket and a plan to convert a dental surgery into homes.

Bracknell Forest Council: 25/00171/A
A service station in Bracknell could be getting brand new signage.
Motor Fuel Group Ltd has applied to Bracknell Forest Council to erect a 5 metre sign at East Berkshire Service Station on London Road.
The station sells petrol and diesel and has a convenience store attached to it.
The advertisement sign would be for an electric vehicle charging points.
It would be 5 metres in height, 1 metre wide and made of aluminium. Plans indicate the sign would last until 2030.
Plans have been validated by Bracknell Forest Council and a decision is yet to be made.
Wokingham Borough Council: 250889
A new Turkish restaurant gearing to open in Wokingham has submitted advertisement plans.
Mr Ibrahim Opuz has applied for approval from Wokingham Borough Council for its outdoor signage, consisting of a sleek navy blue and gold design.
It would be made of acrylic and stainless steel.
It comes as the restaurant, which will serve authentic Turkish cuisine, has applied for a premises licence at the council. This includes playing live and recorded music, selling alcohol and late night refreshment.
Wokingham Borough Council has validated the plans and a decision is yet to be made.

A vacant dental surgery in Crowthorne could have parts brought for residential use.
Crowthorne Smiles Dental Practice on Lower Broadmoor Road, Crowthorne, has been permanently closed for a number of years.
Plans submitted to Bracknell Forest Council propose converting the lower floor of the former surgery into two three-bedroom flats.
The development is being undertaken alongside a different plan to remove the building’s roof to accommodate two more two-bedroom flats.
New windows and an ‘uplift’ of the facade is also taking place under already approved plans.
Plans submitted by Inception Planning Limited argue that although the conversion would result in the loss of a health facility, the premises has been vacant for years, and it represents a sustainable location for residents.
Wokingham Borough Council: 250867
An amendment to plans for a new Sainsbury’s Supermarket in Arborfield Green has been submitted to the council.
It comes as part of the new district centre of Arborfield Green, off Nine Mile Ride, which will have 18 shop units and a public green space.
Alder King Planning Consultants has submitted plans on behalf of the supermarket chain to provide three more parking spaces, revising the layout of the EV charging area.
Plans also show proposals to use cladding panels to replace brickwork to the north, replace a fence along the west and provide additional windows to colleague areas in the east.
Plans have been validated by Wokingham Borough Council and a decision is yet to be made.
