A water leak in Wokingham caused a street to be left with low water pressure this afternoon.
Davy Close, off Carey Road and close to the town centre, was hit by the leak in a water pipe shortly after 3.30pm today.
Wokingham Paper readers contacted us in a bid to establish what had happened and also vented their frustration on social media.

South East Water, which looks after freshwater supplies to Wokingham, was on the scene as quickly as possible and have told The Wokingham Paper that the situation has been resolved.
South East Water’s regional network manager Steve Benton said: “We had a leak on one of our pipes in the Davy Close, Wokingham area shortly before 3.30pm this afternoon.
“To carry out emergency repairs we had to close the network, which meant supplies were interrupted to some of our customers for a short period.
“The water main was repaired by 4.30pm, so supplies should be getting back to normal now. We would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused but assure our customers we worked as quickly as possible.”
“Our 9,000 miles of pipelines transport 540 million litres of water a day around our underground network. Keeping it all connected is six million joints which have to withstand high pressure 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Inevitably sometimes these connections fail unexpectedly, but we work around the clock to repair them as quickly as possible.
