‘A new way to work locally’: My Little Boardroom opens in Wokingham Town centre

My Little Boardroom, Wokingham’s first co-working and childcare concept, officially opened its doors this autumn at 12a Peach Place, Wokingham (RG40 1LY), giving local parents and professionals the chance to seek a better work-life balance.

The launch event, held on Thursday, October 16th, welcomed dozens of local families, business owners and community supporters including the Mayor of Wokingham, who officially opened the space. Guests enjoyed wood-fired pizza from Knead Pizza, kids’ class tasters, exclusive book readings and plenty of creative play, laughter and connection.

“We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us to celebrate this huge moment,” said co-founder Maria.

“Seeing parents and children enjoying the space together reminded us exactly why we built this – a place where parents can work productively while their children play, learn and thrive. It’s truly built on the foundations of our tagline “your office, their playground.”

Founded by Maria and Heather, My Little Boardroom offers flexible workspace options, including private pods, hot desks, and top-notch office facilities alongside on-site childcare delivered by qualified providers (pending Ofsted registration).

Membership options include exclusive partner benefits with local and national businesses, child care and HMRC rebates for self-employed parents.

“Our mission is to make modern working life simpler and more joyful for families”, said Heather.

“Parents shouldn’t have to choose between career and care and now, in Wokingham, they don’t have to.”

Founding member feedback

Local families who toured and joined following the opening have already shared feedback: “Well done ladies. It was a great launch event and an absolute pleasure to be part of it. I am really excited for what you are creating for parents. It is so needed,” said Rebecca H. local business owner.

“The workspace is so calm and professional, and the childcare rooms are beautiful. My daughter didn’t want to leave after our visit,” said Tom R. Wokingham parent of two.

“As a self-employed parent, this setup is a game-changer. I can finally take client calls without worrying about childcare gaps and connect with parents at a similar phase of life,” said Nicola J. local business owner

My Little Boardroom is now welcoming new members for workspace tours and childcare enrolments for 2026 onwards, although we do have some immediate spaces available.
