The Bull af Barkham, one of the areas oldest pubs, has again closed its doors after its ooperators decided to focus on other business activities.
Experienced husband and wife team Phil and Lily Waddington took over the historic property in December 2023, and reopened offering a Thai and British food menu,
Last week it was noted how the property seemed to be closed.
Phil Waddington told Wokingham Today: “The Bull is temporarily closed, and Stonegate, the landlord, is now looking for a new publican.
“Lily, my wife, the previous publican, licensee and landlady, has decided to spend more time with family, and on other business matters.
“We are still big fans of The Bull, and we wish success to any new tenants.”
Owners Stonegate Group said the Grade-II listed The Bull is a renowned and well-presented village inn and restaurant in the village of Barkham.
The property has had a chequered recent past, having remained dormant for a number of months in 2023 following the demise of its previous guise as Lemoni.
