A borough village that annually runs a front garden display of home-made scarecrows invites residents to register for the fun fundraising event.
Binfield Scarecrow Trail gives families an opportunity to hunt for all the characters marked on a map as they walk around the village.
Creations are often clever and funny, making it an entertaining activity for young and old alike.
This is the event’s 10th year, and registration is now open for households to enter the trail, with a chance to win the title of Champion Binfield Scarecrow.
Anyone living in the village can create a scarecrow to wow the hunters.
There is no specific theme, so people are encouraged to get creative.
Visitors will be able to follow the trail daily during half term week.
Local businesses can also support the event, either by building and displaying their own scarecrow, or by advertising on the printed maps.
The event will take place in the village from Saturday, October 25 through to Sunday, November 2, with viewing from 9am until 6pm daily.
Maps of the trail to follow will be available costing £3 from The Foxes’ Den Community Café and Binfield Village Stores.
Registration to create a scarecrow closes on Friday, October 10.
