The westbound carriageway has been temporarily opened for traffic relief, but will close again for the recovery of the lorry involved.
The motorway was closed as the result of a lorry fire, which is now under control.

Emergency services, including Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Services continue to deal with the incident.
Those who are able should delay their travel and are urged to find alternative routes.
