A total of 70 cannabis plants were seized after Thames Valley Police executed a warrant at an address in Sonning.
On October 21, officers from the Wokingham North Neighbourhood Team (NHPT) and the Problem Solving Team carried out the surprise visit following intelligence gathering.
The plants have been destroyed, taking them out of the supply chain.
The surprise visit also resulted in the arrest of an individual, who has now been remanded in custody pending a court hearing in due course.
This is the second time in as many months that Thames Valley Police has disrupted a cannabis farm in Wokingham borough, with around 200 plants with a street value of around £150,000 being seized and destroyed from a property in Lower Earley.
Cannabis ‘farms’ can be a fire risk as the metre may have been bypassed or electric circuits may be overloaded. They may involve people who have been the victims of trafficking, modern slavery or exploitation.
There are signs to look for as a resident or landlord, but do not put yourself at risk.
If you suspect anything you can report this to police directly via 101 or online, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
